Garcia went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Friday's 6-5 loss to Toronto.
Garcia had a run-producing, two-out single in the first then hit the shortest home run ever measured at Rogers Center since Statcast began tracking distance. Garcia sent an opposite field flyball that clanged off the base of the foul pole in right field, 328 feet away. It's a sign that the outfielder's cool bat may be coming to life. Garcia entered the contest with a .437 OPS over the last 16 games and just one home run over the last 19.

Garcia went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over the White Sox.
Garcia recorded hits in each of his first three trips to the plate, topping things off with an RBI double in the fifth before coming around to score following a fielding error from Luis Robert. It marked only the second three-hit game of the season for Garcia and his first multi-hit game in July. He's still batting just .169 this month following Wednesday's performance, though he's now hit safely and driven in at least one run in back-to-back contests while also swiping two bags over that stretch to put him at nine steals on the season.

Garcia is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.
According to Kennedi Landry of MLB.com, manager Bruce Bochy said that Garcia isn't dealing with an injury and is getting "more of a mental day than a physical day" as the Rangers wrap up their series with the Rays. Travis Jankowski will occupy right field in place of Garcia, who has gone hitless over 10 at-bats in his last three starts to bring his season-long batting average down to .215.

Garcia went 0-for-3 with a walk and a steal in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Padres.
Garcia stole his seventh bag of the season in the fourth inning, then was thrown out at home trying to score on Leody Taveras' single. Garcia, who stole 25 bases (on 31 attempts) in 2022, is an occasional base stealer these days. He was successful on nine of 10 attempts last year and on seven of nine thus far in 2024. Thursday's walk extended Garcia's on-base streak to 14 games, during he has logged a .350 OBP.

Garcia went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's loss to the Brewers.
Garcia gave the Rangers a 3-1 lead with his sixth-inning blast, though the advantage was wiped out on a Rhys Hoskins grand slam in the bottom of the frame. As with Hoskins, Garcia's homer ended an extended power drought -- the outfielder hadn't gone deep in any of his past 17 games and had driven in just one run during that span. Garcia is tied for the Rangers' lead with 14 long balls on the season, but he's below pace to match the 39 homers and 107 RBI he racked up last year.

Garcia served as the designated hitter and went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Phillies.
Garcia made a second consecutive start at DH after missing two games with a right forearm injury. It's unclear when he will resume defensive duties, but as long as he's contributing at the plate, that shouldn't matter much. The home run was the team-leading 12th for Garcia, who also leads the Rangers with 36 RBI.

Garcia (forearm) will serve as the Rangers' designated hitter and cleanup batter in Wednesday's game against the Phillies.
The Rangers held Garcia out of the lineup for the past two games while he contended with right forearm discomfort, but he's made enough improvement to enter the starting nine Wednesday, albeit in a non-defensive role. Provided the injury doesn't affect his throwing for too much longer, Garcia should be ready to return to his usual spot in right field in the coming days.

Garcia (forearm) underwent imaging on his forearm Sunday, which came back clean according to manager Bruce Bochy, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.
Garcia was scratched from the lineup ahead of Sunday's series finale with the Angels due to right forearm discomfort, but he appears to have avoided any sort of significant injury. The team has an off day Monday, so the outfielder's next opportunity to return to the lineup will come Tuesday on the road versus the Phillies.
